- A roll of Puff Pastry (you can choose to make your own or buy the puff pastry)
- 150g Garlic & Chive Cheddar Truckle
- Salt and Pepper for extra seasoning
- 1 egg (for egg-wash)
Step 1: First- Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan or Gas 6
Step 2: Mix 150g of Garlic & Chive cheese into a bowl with your salt and pepper
Step 3: Once mixed- move onto your pastry.
Step 4: Lay out your pastry and with a brush, egg wash the whole pastry lightly- ensuring you cover the whole pastries edges.
Step 5: Go crazy with the cheese! Spread it across half of the pastry, leaving the other half bare.
Step 6: Next, fold half of the pastry over to the other side with cheese on.
Step 7: Once done, start cutting the pastry into strips about 1cm wide. You should be able to get 7-8 strips from the pastry.
Step 8: Gently pick up your strips and twist them slightly about 3-4 times. Once twisted, place the twists onto a baking tray that’s lined with baking paper.
Step 9: Once all the strips have been twisted, place the baking tray into the fridge and chill for 10-20 minutes.
Step 8: After the strips have been taken out of the fridge- brush the egg wash over each strip
Step 9: Once all strips have been egg washed, place the baking tray into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Step 10: Enjoy your delicious Garlic & Chive cheese twists!
